Counselling and Support Services of S.D. & G. offers bilingual counselling and support services to individuals, couples, parents and families for the purpose of alleviatingTo alleviate is to make less severe, as a pain or difficulty. problem situations and encouraging positive personal growth. The agency experienced counsellorsCounsellor (counselling) is the process of counseling the parties of a relationship in an effort to recognize and to better manage or reconcile troublesome differences and repeating patterns of distress. The relationship involved may be between members of a family or a couple, employees or employers in a workplace, or between a professional and a client. and case managers are committed to promoting individual, partner, parental and family well being. This support leads to healthy relationships and strong communities.

United Way funding enables the agengy to deliver quality counselling to our clients at an affordable cost. A reasonable fee for service is discussed and established with the Social Worker during your first initial interview.

The agengy's Case ManagementCase Management refers to the coordination of services such as community, health or legal on behalf of a party. This typically includes creating a case file and following a process to ensure delivery of services. A case is handled by a case manager or case team. services are funded by the Ministry of Community and Social Services; there is no fee for service. Call and the agency intake workers will review and assess your needs over the phone and let you know when the next available appointment is. There is, at times, a waiting period to come in and see a worker face to face.

Walk-In Counselling Clinic

Offering no-fee, single-session counselling to individuals, couples, and families on a first come, first served basis on Thursdays from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM (last session at 6:30 PM). No appointment is necessary. No referrals required. Everyone is welcome!


This is a collaborative project between several community agencies, aimed at addressing the mental health issues within the community of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry. Should you require additional information, feel free to contact us at 613-932-4610.

Group Therapy for Male Survivors of Sexual Abuse


Counselling and Support Services  of S.D. & G. is proud to announce that the agency will be offering therapy groups for male survivors of childhood sexual abuse.

The agency is in partnership with Catholic Family Services Ottawa and the project is funded by the Government of Ontario, Ministry of the Attorney General, Ontario Victims Services Secretariat, Community Project Grants  Program. All sessions are free.

Group therapy sessions will permit men to provide support to one another during their time of healing, as they learn healthy coping strategies  to deal with the trauma of their childhood experiences.

All sessions are confidential and provide a safe environment.

The group sessions will allow men to tell their own stories and realize they are not alone, they are not to blame and they can learn to do more than just get by day to day.


Individual therapy sessions will be made possible to those men who are not comfortable in a group environment.  The individual sessions will also focus on coping strategies as well.
